Is anyone playing it?
Summary:
In game, you control 1 hero, for a match that last about 40 minutes. There's wide selection of heroes which you can choose at the start of the match. Through the match, you gain levels (18 is maximum) and gold that you buy items with. The game is similar to DotA (or it's clone HoN). Game can be played for free, the only thing you can (optionally) pay for are the skins and boosts for faster summoner leveling (but you get to max level with normal play in no time).
Game has EU and US servers, so be careful which client you download. EU client can be gotten here: http://eu.leagueoflegends.com . My in-game name is BigWalrus, so you can post here your name and add me, and we can play together.

@n00b: DotA ripoff is Heroes of Newerth, which is the exact same copy of DotA. LoL on other hand, has different champions, few different game mechanics, Summoner metagame and so on.
@SuperTime: Yea, that was DotA. If you start playing, just hit me up in game, beacuse eventhough this game is new player friendly, it might take some explanation.

excactly, HoN is a DotA"ripoff" (which is nothing bad, as the DotA creator gave its permission); for some reason, i was in the HoN closed beta, but never played it...and ive never heard of LoL before. even if its different from DotA and HoN...do we really need another one of those games?
some guy on my FL is constantly playing it, so it seems to be fun...but why are there 2 games coming out, solely modelled after ONE custom map some guy did for warcraft? DotA never was this much fun to me...

@Frozen: Well, while HoN is exact copy of DotA, LoL has only a few similarities with DotA, so overall, the gameplay is pretty different.
